Our Training

Through our exceptional business we're creating a real "wow" factor on the high street by providing extra value products and extra special service. We want to extend that service to you from your very first day within the company, right through to when you join your team. So how will we do that? We'll do it through our extensive training programmes.

Once you have accepted your job offer and agreed a start date the next step is your training – and that's where the journey begins…

Step 1 - Your Foundation Training

We pride ourselves in valuing others; on day 1 you'll be met by a member of the Training Team. During this time you will have a chance to become familiar with your new surroundings and gain an understanding of what is expected of you in your new role in the business.

You will receive training and any support you require on the technology, systems and skills needed to take a call. As you are working for a financial institution you will also be required to complete statutory training during this period. You will have a chance to do research along with your other colleagues to find out about the products and services we offer our customers – you might even find something that whets your own appetite!

Step 2 – Your Product Specific Training – Weeks 1 – 4

Next you will receive in-depth training on the systems, knowledge and skills relating to a specific product area. The timescale is dependant on the product area you will be working in and whether you've selected to work full-time or part-time hours. We’ll make sure you have everything you need to take your first live call. You will be introduced to your Development Centre Coach (DCC) who will support you during your initial live calls.

Step 3 – Time in the Development Centre

You will take live calls with the support of the DCC and have a chance to meet your Team and Team Manager (TM). Key messages and sessions will be delivered to enable you to develop your confidence and performance. You will receive call coaching and given constant feedback. And finally before you settle in with your new team you'll receive Sales Training that will help you maximise business opportunities and smash those targets!

Throughout your training you'll take time with your trainer to check your progress and agree any further support you may require.

All our colleagues are presented with a certificate to show their successful completion of training – because we believe in celebrating your success!

Step 4 - Ongoing Training & Development

Following your initial training your Team Manager will provide further ongoing coaching and support. Through monthly performance and development reviews you will both agree clear objectives, to help you achieve your targets and enhance your performance, identifying if and when you may be ready for further challenges e.g. new products or other skills.

For those of you who are moving into a Management role we also have a Management Foundation programme.

The Training Team work hard at making learning enjoyable. We offer a wide range of training methods to cater for all learning styles. You are guaranteed to have fun along the way!
