I began as a Customer Sales Advisor and worked my way up to a senior position. One of my sisters has worked for HBOS for 20 years so I had a pretty good insight into what it’s like –
I knew they were a good company to work for. I had done contact centre work before, but you are valued far more at HBOS and you are treated as a person.

I became a senior Customer Sales Advisor in 2003 and I’m now going down a more HR focused route where look after all the sickness for the team. My next move is that I’d like
to start interviewing, and this is more than possible as the development here is brilliant. The bonuses and sales incentives are also excellent;
Funday Monday makes you feel really valued. The banter is great and the flexibility of the work patterns is very beneficial to me. I’m a single mum and if
I’m running a little late I can do shift-swaps which takes all the stress away.
Even when you least expect it – somebody acknowledges your hard work. I just love it because it makes for a really happy working environment.
I would recommend HBOS to anyone.
