Hayley's Profile - Sales Professional - Outbound

Before we do anything in the morning our team have a ‘huddle’ with our Team Manager to discuss our previous day's performance. We then usually pledge what new money and new accounts we are individually going to target. Our Team Manager then goes over any new savings products or rates we can promote and we share hints and tips for what works with each of us when promoting these accounts based on previous calls.

It's our job to explain the different options to the customer and make them aware of any new rates in order to retain their business and bring in new business at the same time. We then remain on the phone throughout the day making calls to customers and at the same time logging and keeping track of any business we secure. Sometimes we have power hours. This is an incentive that runs to see who has brought in the most business. The individual or team who has brought in the most business then wins a prize.

Retaining business and bringing in new business always gives you great satisfaction, especially as you have put the work in and spent the time going through the rates and showing the customer what interest they could earn with us compared to other banks.

I really enjoy working here and want to progress within this company as much as I can. Moving from inbound to outbound was a step I decided to take just to give me more experience in that area. I've recently been picked for the Team Manager designate role, which means I have been recognised for my hard work and trusted to take on extra responsibility. Its great to be given a challenge and managing different teams will help me to gain a lot more experience for future roles. My hard work was also recognised when I was nominated to attend gala dinners at Chester and Belfast. It really made me feel valued.
