Roles available within: Belfast, Warrington, Sheffield, Rosyth, Cardiff.

These roles aren't about selling at any cost. They're about creating a relationship of trust and confidence and meeting customer's needs through the careful selection of personal finance products, whether it's a mortgage, loan or insurance. As one of our customer sales consultants, you will be working in one of our Inbound Sales, Mortgage Sales, Outbound Sales or Credit Cards departments. Full of motivation and ambition, you’ll need to be a professional with interpersonal and sales skills that build a rapport with our customers. By listening to their specific needs, you’ll ensure that you find a product that's right for them; while always adhering to the relevant risk, statutory and regulatory requirements.

You’ll become an expert in one of the following areas, building a rapport with a wide range of customers, and setting them at ease with your knowledge:

Inbound Sales:

This might be about helping customers applying for a loan or who are coming to the end of their loan term who we’d like to keep as customers. Or it could be about talking to customers who are reviewing their HBOS account to see if it can be better tailored to them. To meet your sales targets you will need to build a rapport and ask lots of questions. Once you have this information you can go on and match the best solution to meet all of your customers’ needs.

Outbound Sales:

This might be about putting in calls to customers that we believe we can offer better products to. With your skill and insight you'll match the best solution to suit your customers' needs and circumstances along with selling other complimentary products to suit or protect their lifestyle. Other teams set up appointments with Financial Advisors to help customers make the most of their money.

Mortgage Sales:

This can be about helping customers that are entirely new to HBOS, guiding them through our offering and products, or it can be advising customers who want to increase their borrowing or move to a different product. Once you've matched the customer’s needs to the right product, you'll take them through a mortgage quotation; always providing best advice and following tight regulatory guidelines.

Credit Cards:

This is about delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. That will mean you can take full advantage of any sales opportunities. This will be done by striking up a conversation that not only puts the customer at ease, it must also generate sales indicators. So you’ll need a passion for sales and a flair for customer service.
